Filming and Unit Base

Commercial Filming and Photography

Many of our animals can be used in-conjunction with filming but both of the zoos have so much more to offer. ZSL is film friendly and happy to accommodate production crews throughout the year.

Filming Locations

The sites offer a varied selection of filming locations including a 1970’s library, laboratories, a fully working iron-caged lift and various landscaped areas around the zoo with lush and exotic-looking plantation.

Unit Base Parking

ZSL London Zoo can also offer production crews unit base parking within the large car park – even to crews who are not filming within the Zoo. The car park is ideally located by Regent’s Park close to the M1 but outside of the congestion charge.

The Zoological Society of London’s image collection is vast. With drawings dating back as far as 1560, ZSL can provide images of artworks and scientific drawings, transparencies of prints and present day digital imagery of animals, architecture, field conservation work and horticulture.
