Leaving a legacy
As a charity dependent on public support, ZSL relies on future legacies to help to continue its work. Once you have accounted for your family and friends; including a charity in your Will is a wonderful way to continue supporting your favourite cause well into the future. By including a gift to ZSL in your Will you will be making a lasting contribution to the conservation of animals and their habitats.
Legacies help to support all of ZSL’s work including our international conservation programmes; our outstanding animal collections; our world-renowned Institute of Zoology and our rich and diverse zoological library.

Your pledge to ZSL
We would love to hear from you if you do decide to leave a legacy to ZSL so that we can say thank you and so that we can tell you more about the area of our work that you are particularly interested in. We can inform you of any upcoming events that may be of interest to you or even set up a meeting with an expert in that field of work if you would like.
You will find a pledge form in both the ZSL legacy leaflet and the ZSL legacy information booklet. With this form you can tell us more about your gift and which area of ZSL’s work that you would like your legacy to support. There is no obligation to share this information with us, but if you would like to we can assure you it will be held in the strictest confidence and it is not a binding commitment.
Finding a solicitor
If you haven’t written your Will yet or if you would like to update your Will it’s important to seek proper professional advice from a Wills & Probate solicitor.
The Law Society has a searchable on-line database to help you find a solicitor in your area. Simply click on the following link www.solicitors-online.com; enter your postcode or town name and under ‘Area of law’ choose ‘Wills and probate’. The database will return a list of 50 Wills and Probate solicitors nearest to you.
