Keeper's diary - all change

Monday 22 September 2008

It’s not just the weather that is changing, there’s a new face to our website’s Keeper’s Diary. After a year and a half entertaining readers with what goes on behind the scenes, zookeeper Ollie Duprey has decided to hang up his shovel and head to vet school.

Adam Davies and Emu on Outback

Filling Ollie’s green wellies is his friend Adam Davies, a trainee keeper at ZSL London Zoo. Whilst Adam is new to Keeper’s Diary, he is a familiar face around the zoo.

After a period as a volunteer and then as a seasonal keeper, he was taken on last year as a trainee on Mammals South – a section which includes The Lion Terraces, Zoo World, Gorilla Kingdom, Meet the Monkeys walk through and Outback.

Over the coming months Adam will be giving you and an insight into the work that he and his fellow keepers do to keep ZSL London Zoo the world class zoological institution that it is.
