ZSL works with a broad range of corporate partners, each helping us achieve our conservation objectives in different ways.
The case studies below give just a glimpse of how we work together with businesses to achieve our joint goals. Below is a list of the current partners that ZSL is working with.
Brand partnership: Liontrust Asset Management
ZSL has been working with Liontrust Asset Management for almost ten years. In that time our relationship has centred around Liontrust’s brand ambitions to be recognised as a leader in sustainable finance, and to help them achieve their ESG goals around supporting wildlife conservation and making an impact in the conservation of endangered species of lions.
The relationship evolved into animal exhibit sponsorship in 2016 when HM The Queen came to open ZSL’s flagship new exhibit Land of the Lions. The sponsorship includes Liontrust branding situated within the exhibit itself, such as brand logos on the enrichment items within the lion enclosure, and subtle branding integrated into the visitor experience itself.
The sponsorship has been hugely successful and results in regular PR highlights for the sponsor during key events and occasions throughout the year. Now in its seventh year, the exhibit sponsorship has gone from strength to strength. Liontrust are now becoming actively involved in funding other related projects, such as the recent lion-move which saw new Asiatic lions arriving at London Zoo.
Animal exhibits that are currently looking for new corporate sponsors are: London Zoo’s brand new Reptile & Amphibian house, and Tiger Territory. Whipsnade Zoo’s Elephant House, and beloved Giraffe House are also available for corporate sponsorship.

Brand Partnership: McVities Penguin
McVitie's Penguin has partnered with us to connect more families with wildlife.
Focused around the sponsorship of London Zoo's iconic Penguin Beach, this exciting p-p-p-partnership brings fun facts to new audiences through an engaging on-pack promotion - enhancing the famous joke on the back of McVitie's Penguin biscuit wrappers with a fascinating fact from the zoo's penguin keepers.
Building knowledge and understanding about animals is the first step to appreciating and protecting them - this exciting joint venture hopes to inspire more children to care for our planet, while also helping to fund ZSL's vital conservation work.
Brand Activation in our Zoos: Magnum Ice-cream
ZSL’s Zoos offer our corporate partners truly unique locations to activate their brands. With up to 2 million visitors coming through our doors each year, and with a huge average dwell-time of 4-6 hours our audiences are highly attentive and highly engaged.
Magnum utilised London Zoo's Zoo Nights events as a launchpad for their new Vegan Magnum products in the Summer of 2019. Bringing to life our lawns with brand activations including product giveaways, a Magnum branded ski lodge, and animal-themed tee-pees and seating areas encouraging visitors to take a seat and enjoy an ice-cream!
If you want to engage those audiences with your products or brands, why not get in touch with the Corporate Partnerships team to discuss what might be possible.
Corporate Membership: Bloomberg
Bloomberg has been a corporate member of ZSL for many years. The benefits of corporate membership are broad ranging, and no two corporate memberships are the same.
For Bloomberg the key benefit is staff engagement. With free Zoo tickets for their staff, and a packed calendar of corporate volunteering days at the Zoo, Bloomberg really make the most of their membership to show their staff they are valued.
