Public Engagement with Science
Events
Harriet McAra facilitates and creates opportunities to enable our science and conservation professionals to share insights that benefit wildlife, people and the environment.
Working with a variety of platforms, Harriet enables the communication of the work of our science and conservation professionals. This includes organising an annual programme of free, public Science and Conservation Events and academic symposia, managing ZSL’s Science social media channels, hosting and producing the ZSL Wild Science podcast, and curating the ZSL Science and Conservation YouTube channel alongside other creative forms of science communication.
As a result of these activities, we want to empower audiences to use our work through calls to action, cause behaviour change, and provide pathways to impact through policy engagement and collaborations.
